Prof. Angelo Scuderi (Brazil)

Past President of International Union of Phlebology, сhair of the Executive Committee of UIP, Honorary President of Pan American Society of Phlebology and Lymphology (San Paolo, Brazil), Honorary Professor of Ulyanovsk State University (Russia).

He is author of many publications in Brazil (Portuguese language), in Latin America (Spanish Language), in Italy (Italian language) and in International Scientific Magazine (English Language) about the Phlebology field, author of a book: “Tudo sobre varizes” (Portuguese language) – “All about the Varicose”. Wrote several chapters in books of phlebology in Brazil. (Portuguese language). Speaks Portuguese (mother tongue), Spanish, Italian and English and a little of French.

Organized numerous congresses, conferences, courses and symposia, national, and in Latin America. He was the president and organizer of the XV World Congress of the International Union of Phlebologie (UIP) in Rio de Janeiro in 2005.

He was the president of the Brazilian Society of Phlebology and Lymphology for two terms. He is currently honorary president of that Society, honorary president of the Pan America Society of Phlebology and Lymphology, honorary member of several societies of Phlebology throughout Latin America and several countries around the world.
He was one of the founders of the Brazilian Venous Forum, elected Vice President of the UIP in 2005.
In Monaco, in the year 2009, during the XVI World Congress of the UIP he was elected President of the UIP, for a period beginning in September 2011 in Prague and end in 2015.

He is director of a public health service specialized in phlebology and also responsible for the Angiology and Vascular Surgery department in the University hospital (Hospital Santa Lucinda of PUCSP) and works daily in a private clinic – Clinic Dr. Angelo Scuderi.
